1. CONTRACT MANAGER
Kamwesa Zambia Limited is seeking to recruit a competent, organised, and results-driven Contract Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective administration, management, and monitoring of the Company’s contracts with clients, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring that contractual obligations are properly understood, fulfilled, documented, and monitored throughout the contract lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and administer contracts from commencement through to completion or renewal.
Review contracts, service agreements, and related documentation to ensure that the Company’s obligations, deliverables, timelines, and commercial terms are clearly understood.

Monitor contractual performance and ensure that agreed services are delivered in accordance with contract requirements.

Coordinate with Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement, and Management to ensure effective implementation of contractual obligations.

Monitor contract timelines, renewals, deliverables, milestones, and other key contractual requirements.

Maintain an organised and up-to-date contract register and ensure that all contract-related documentation is properly filed and accessible.

Identify potential contractual risks, delays, breaches, disputes, and areas of non-compliance and escalate them to Management appropriately.

Assist Management in addressing contract variations, extensions, amendments, and other changes to existing agreements.

Review client requirements and ensure that operational teams are aware of relevant contractual obligations.

Monitor client and contractor performance against agreed terms and service standards.
Maintain proper records of contract variations, correspondence, claims, disputes, and other relevant documentation.

Ensure that contracts are administered in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and agreed contractual terms.

Provide Management with regular updates on contract performance, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Law, Procurement, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Professional qualification in Contract Management, Procurement, Project Management, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in contract management, contract administration, commercial management, procurement, or a related role.
  4. Experience working with service contracts, facilities management, cleaning, construction, renovation, landscaping/gardening, or other outsourced services will be an advantage.
  5. Strong understanding of contractual terms, obligations, report writting, deliverables, and risk management.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Strong negotiation, analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  9. Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines effectively.
  10. High level of integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  11. Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with different departments.

    The ideal candidate should be commercially aware, detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in dealing with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams. The candidate must be able to identify contractual risks before they become problems and ensure that the Company’s obligations and interests are properly protected.
